Love and Nature

I was sitting in the Queens Botanical Gardens today. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but I felt something magical going on there. I was surrounded by all these trees with fall colored leaves in a kind of circle and the sky above was a medley of bright colors, golden being the most striking of them. It was beautiful!
Then a thought came to me. Why do we feel love so easily for nature? Continuing on the same note as my previous post on Love, the reason we feel love so easily for nature is because nature is pristine, the closest, untarnished, untouched by imperfect humanity, creation of God. Hence it comes naturally to see God in nature, and hence love nature!

What is Love?

Some time back if someone had asked me to define Love, I would have mumbled for some time and come up with a silly convoluted answer. But I believe I can define true love now.

'True love is seeing God in the person you love.'

The more you are able to see the God in a person, the more your love for them grows and becomes purer and truer. True Human Love is simply a partial form of Divine Love. The more you love them, the more they feel Divine to you. In fact you are loving the Divinity in them.

Of course, all this applies to love in the true and pure sense!
